Mermaids |
FORM ANALYSIS
Mermaids are inspired by dugongs and manatees. Their round body, whale like tail and flipper hands give them a sort of a structure related to that of mermaid. Often manatees and dugongs were confused with mermaids. People viewing these sea creatures from far thought of them as mermaids.
Structure of a Mermaid - bones, webbed hands and tails. Nobody really knows the breathing process of a mermaid, thus my assumption is that the mermaids, just like a fish, have gills, either on the neck or on the sides. They too like fish must be pulling out the oxygen from the water but they also must be having a human like breathing system, due to which they can stay out of the water for a long time.
